Tim is a versatile and creative writer who specializes in breaking complex topics down for broad audiences. Through his experience writing for educational institutions and corporations, he has developed a keen awareness of different readers and their needs—from employees to customers, legislators to constituents, and specialists to generalists.
One of Tim’s favorite parts of the writing process is discovering a “lede” that will draw readers in to an article, regardless of the topic. While discovering the right lede requires creativity, Tim does not consider himself a “creative writer.” He thinks and writes in a logical, linear fashion to deliver the client’s message as directly as possible.
Another challenge he enjoys is writing to each client’s specs, like word count. His awareness of the demands of narrow columns and web pages that need to be rendered on mobile devices allows him to move from web content to print without missing a beat.
